    esteem, and occasions where professional intervention may be appropriate.

    Description: This course defines anger, discusses its purpose, and identifies components of childhood anger. It also

    effective anger management techniques and activities to use with children.

    discusses the strategies and steps for conflict resolution and identifies conflict management styles.

    Description: This course discusses behavioral traits of children from infancy to school age, outlines steps a child care
    provider can take to stop problems before they start, cites possible reasons for misbehavior, and offers age-appropriate
    guidance and disciplinary techniques.
    Objectives:
    Terminal Objective: Upon completion of this course, the student will have acquired knowledge of recommended
    procedures for handling discipline problems in a child care environment, methods for stopping discipline problems before
    they start, understanding common behavioral traits of children, and typical causes of misbehavior in a child care setting.
