Emergency Closings
Educare makes every effort to stay open for scheduled program hours. However, we may be closed for
various reasons due to weather, community emergencies or world events. In the event that an emergency
occurs during the regular day's schedule at Educare, we will contact parents/guardians to pick up children.
The program will close after each child has been safely picked up by a responsible adult. When inclement
weather occurs please call the front desk at 301-834-9007 or visit this website to see if we will be in
operation. An email will also be sent out the Educare email list regarding any changes to normal operation.
2011-12 ELC Inclement Weather Policy
Holidays/Closings
Educare will be closed on the following holidays:
If the holiday falls on Saturday, Educare will be closed on Friday.
If the holiday falls on Sunday, Educare will be closed on Monday.
In-Service Days
Educare will also be closed to children for staff in-service days. Staff will use these days to attend training
and work in the classrooms.
