Emergency Closings
Dandelion makes every effort to stay open for scheduled program hours. However, we may be closed for
various reasons due to weather, community emergencies or world events. In the event that an emergency
occurs during the regular day's schedule at Dandelion, we will contact parents/guardians to pick up children.
The program will close after each child has been safely picked up by a responsible adult. On days when
inclement weather occur please call Dandelion or visit this website to see if Dandelion will be in operation.
Holidays/Closings
Dandelion will be closed on the following holidays:
If the holiday falls on Saturday, Dandelion will be closed on Friday.
If the holiday falls on Sunday, Dandelion will be closed on Monday.
In-Service Days
Dandelion will also be closed to children for staff in-service days. Staff will use these days to attend training
and work in the classrooms.

- Friday, April 10th, 2009 (Good Friday/FCPS Closed--Spring Break)
- June 2009 or the day after FCPS last day of school.
